Things I've done lately:
- set up RRSP (i feel grown up) - cleaned entire house (inlaws were coming ;) - talked to my friend Sarah from T-hawk on the phone - finished my over night shifts at the crisis centre (YAY!) - started selling stuff on ebay again - got a new TV - became obsessed with grey's anatomy - got my canadian visa renewed - went to the doctors - started taking melatonin to help me sleep, which is actually working - started reading another maeve binchy book - thought about snowboarding again - went to work - went to the gym - made watching southpark a nightly ritual (channel M 11:00pm)
hmm..thats all i can think of for now |

important matters |
Okay... i think it's time to discuss an important matter that i've been sitting on for a little while now. You see, i like shows. Not just any show though, in fact, i'm kind of particular. But when i find one that i like, i put my whole mind into it...
So there are 2 different classes of shows for me. There are the entertaining shows that make me happy to see that they happen to be on while i am channel surfing, like; my super sweet 16, wifeswap (its not trashy!! common misconception people), friends, southpark, medium (not satanic - again, common misconception) and maybe a few more but none that pop out at me right now.
More importantly though, are what i call "My shows". These are the ones that i choose to follow regularly, that if i miss an episode i will search for in on youtube, or read the synopsis on the web. These are the shows that i like to lose myself in for the hour they are on. Some of you may think i'm crazy, or weird, or 'obsessed'. I can only blame in on my mother. She's the same way.
So here are My shows: 1. Grey's Anatomy 2. ER 3. The Nine 4. Law and Order: SVU 5. Brothers and Sisters (actually this one is more like 'our show' as Craig really likes it... It makes my list only because we plan to watch it on sunday nights)
Now, if you know me well, you might notice the odd order here. Yes, SVU is currently #4 on the list... and yes, that was not an accident or a slip of the finger. As hard as it was for me to do that, it just hasn't been all that great this season. And - it is also correct that Grey's Anatomy has stolen the #1 spot. Where did that come from, you might ask...? Well, i must admit that this show has won my heart. It's funny, entertaining, dramatic.. i like the characters and story lines..it's a good show.
Anyway, those of you who have made it this long, i thank you. I just had to get that off my chest.Labels: shows |

random |
This weekend Craig and I are going to a Marraige Conference downtown. It's the one that was recommended to us by Dave and Heather, so we're pretty excited to go. (and of course who doesnt love staying in hotels? Especially downtown vancouver!)
Today is the last day for voting for the VanCity award. I really hope the crisis centre wins... we find out in November so i'll let you all know.
I really am feeling like lately i dont know what to write about. It's funny how it comes in waves. For a while there i felt like posting everyday and this week i've just update because i felt i should, and since i like it when others update their blogs.
Anyway - it will pass and soon i will have more interesting things to say I am sure. Until then, peace |

Well here i am sitting at the crisis centre...It's 2:43 am and I am bored so I thought I'd update people as to what I've been doing lately.
I am now into my second month working with YWAM Donor Services (soon to be called Project Funding!). It is going quite well. My main jobs so far are helping to redesign and make changes to all our forms and processess, since we were audited a while back. I also add new staff to our data base and set up pre-authorized payments for people that want to support missionaries monthly. Its such a neat process of how it works and makes me really thankful how easy our financial support system is set up for missionaries in N.America!
I am also still volunteering at the crisis centre (obviously). I have one more overnight shift after this that i have to do in order to complete my committment of 200 hours on the phone lines. I probably would've been done a few months ago but i took the whole summer off as Craig and I were traveling and not in Vancouver. (Oh that reminds me, anyone with a VanCity bank account --- if you havent already, would you mind voting for the Crisis Centre in the 1 million Vancity award? If we win, we will be able to improve our system and increase our hours for the youth hotline. You can vote by going here.)
In other news...
did anyone watch the pilot episode of the new show 'The Nine'? ooh i think its going to be good!
Well, that's all for now. peace |

our friends |
Our friends, Mike, Jessi, and little Kael leave Vancouver tomorrow morning. We are so sad to see them go. Jessi and I have been friends for 9 years now and it's been so great living in the same city with her for so long. But they have a really exciting future ahead of them and we wish them the best! Love you guys lots and we'll miss you!
