| Another one. |
Well I really should be doing homework right now but I decided to do another photo background, this time of my mom. You can tell this one is photoshopped a little more but it still looks cool...
Anyway, it's a lot trickier trying to fit in time for school work this semester because I've been working between 25-30 hours the past couple weeks. Even though it's been pretty slow at the store, there are tons of new products that we've been putting out on the shelves. You should check it out - great new spring stuff. I want it all.
Tomorrow night Craig and I are going to look for a second time at a house we might be moving into, but more on that later.

| First Week |
Well it's the end of the first week of classes, and so far so good. I haven't gotten all my textbooks in the mail yet though so I'm a little behind on the readings. Hopefully they'll all be in by next week. I got my grades back finally from last semester and I'm happy to report that I'm starting off my education with a 4.0! Yay... staight A's for me! Let's see if I can keep that up (until I have to take math next year...ugh!)
I thought I'd share my first project for my photoshop class. I learned about replacing backgrounds, so here's a pic of my brother looking out over the water.

| Need New Shows! |
 So due to this annoying writer's strike, all my shows are pretty much over with, which I find very sad. And I have been watching older shows, like past seasons of ER and judging Amy that I downloaded, but I've finished all those episodes. So basically what I am saying is, I need a new show to get hooked on! I feel a void...which must be filled. Does anyone have any ideas? Tell me your shows that you follow, the ones where you can't wait to see what happens next week, or if you have the DVDs, the ones that make you stay up till ridiculous hours of the night because you can't watch just one..or 2 or 4. Tell me those shows - I'm willing to try new things!
Some shows I am thinking about getting into:
Heroes (never seen one but a lot of people love it)
Weeds (saw first season, there are 2 more full ones out now)
Dirt (saw first 2 epis, looks like it could be good)
The Unit (saw the first 3 epi's, mildly interested)
Medium (seen a few here and there, always enjoyable)
24 (still haven't seen season 2..but do I want to start that again??)

| Time with Friends |
I had a great time with my dear friend Jessi visiting the past few days. We stayed up late, slept in, ate lots of food, watched movies, and saw the sites of the Niagara region. It was great to have some girl talk again, which I've missed since I moved from Vancouver. It's especially nice hanging out with someone who knows me well, and has known me since I was 14.
Oh and also, I got my permanent resident card in the mail! I can now officially live in Canada for the rest of my life without having to reapply or renew anything. The only thing I have to do is get an updated card and picture every 5 or so years. All that work paid off!

Everyone needs to get to Old Navy this weekend...serious sale going on - 75% of all winter clearance! That means 75% off of $100 coats... how can one not take advantage of that? I definitely couldn't!!

geez....no post for me lately for 2 reasons. First, i've been working a lot. Second, not much has happened worth posting about. Except for one thing - Old Navy asked me to be a permanent employee! Yay...that means no more job hunting for a while. I work six days in a row this week, all starting at 7 or 8 am..... Once my classes start I hope to cut my hours down to 20 a week.
Speaking of classes, not sure if I've mentioned them already or not so here they are:
Human Nutrition
US History 1 (1400-1800's or something like that)
Digital Art and Design (photoshop)
Planning and finalizing my Degree (an actual class... where I will map out the classes I need and declare my major)
I haven't gotten all my grades back yet but I think I did pretty well last semester. I'll post them when they come in the next couple weeks. |
