|Lately I have been slowly going through old journals, as I've mentioned before, and it's bringing back all sorts of memories. It makes me think though, at the time I thought high school was so lame. But now as an adult, I sometimes miss the oportunities it gave me. For example, every year I was able to participate in a state wide choral competition where I performed solos, duets, and all sorts of ensembles. I also was able to act in about 6 plays, sometimes playing a small part, and even playing one of the leads in Rumplestiltskin. And in one of my favorite and most interesting classes, AP Biology, I was able to disect a whole cat and study the systems and organs of the body.
In all honesty though I wouldn't go back and relive high school. But I do miss those types of things. I suppose some of them I could still pursue, though it would not be the same. I have no intentions of pursuing choral competitions and acting as a career, which makes it harder to find ways to still be involved.
Here's some pics.
